Glaucoma Surgery

Were You Diagnosed With Glaucoma?
Glaucoma is a major cause of blindness in people over the age of 60. If you've been diagnosed with glaucoma, surgery may help you manage your disease. Our outpatient eye surgery center in Twin Falls, ID offers several procedures to help treat your glaucoma, such as:
-
Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty - A laser is used to improve fluid drainage for your eye, helping to reduce symptoms without resorting to invasive methods.
-
iStent insertion - Minimally invasive glaucoma surgery. There are several different options available that utilize the eyes natural drainage system to help improve drainage and reduce eye pressure.
-
Advanced Glaucoma Surgery - This is an option when other treatments have not been effective.
iDose TR: A New Era in Glaucoma Treatment
iDose TR is a groundbreaking, FDA-approved treatment designed to help lower eye pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. This tiny, implantable device delivers Travaprost — one of the most trusted and widely prescribed glaucoma medications — directly into the eye.
Traditionally used in daily eye drops, Travaprost is now available in a sustained-release form through iDose TR. Once implanted during a quick procedure, the device provides continuous, 24/7 medication delivery — eliminating the need for daily drops and reducing the burden of strict medication schedules.
With iDose TR, patients can experience consistent pressure control and greater freedom from the challenges of traditional topical drops.

iStent Infinite

iStent infinite is an advanced, minimally invasive glaucoma treatment designed for patients with primary open-angle glaucoma who haven’t achieved adequate eye pressure control with medications or prior surgeries. This microscopic device is implanted during a quick, outpatient procedure and works by improving the eye’s natural fluid drainage to help lower intraocular pressure (IOP), which is a key factor in preventing further vision loss.
The procedure involves placing three tiny, titanium stents into the eye’s trabecular meshwork, creating new pathways for fluid to flow and reducing pressure on the optic nerve. iStent infinite can be performed on its own or in combination with cataract surgery, depending on your needs.
Patients often experience significant pressure reduction and may be able to reduce or stop their glaucoma medications. By lowering IOP, iStent infinite helps slow the progression of glaucoma and may preserve vision long-term. It’s also been shown to be safe in MRI environments under specific conditions.
If medications haven’t worked for you or you’re looking for a more consistent way to manage your glaucoma, iStent infinite may offer a new path forward. Speak to your doctor to see if this treatment is right for you.
